After taking a few months off, we are pleased to present an all new look to MCM. Maypearl Combat Missions 2003 will serve to offer Airsoft players several unique experiences. Each monthly mission will present tactical training, practical exercises and a mini force on force operation. All missions will be conducted in a strict military simulation format, utilizing limited ammunition and scenario style medic rules. The three components will be organized as follows: 1. Tactical Training – Each mission will train on several small unit tactics, such as Land Navigation, Movement Formations, Immediate Action Drills, etc. The players will be broken into small groups and rotated through different stations. These stations will not only include the tactical training, but also emphasis on Shooting Skills, including range estimation and target acquisition. Each station will conclude with a short Situational Training Exercise (STX) to emphasize the correct procedure. 2. Practical Exercises – After the Tactical Training circuit is complete the players will navigate a Lane Training Exercise (LTX) in a squad size element. The lane will have the instructors acting as an OpFor in various offensive and defensive postures. The squads will need to determine the situation and react accordingly. 3. Force-on-Force Operation – This will be the main event of the day. The players will be divided into two units, assigned a leadership team and issued an operations order and a supply of BBs. The instructors will act as Observers/Controllers, but will not serve as leaders. Each team will be given time to plan the mission, disseminate BBs and prepare to launch. After the operation is complete each team will receive and After Action review as a group and the leadership team will each receive a private AAR on their individual performance.
We are working rapidly to get the website updated and present the monthly dates for all of 2003. I will post any new details as soon as I can.
