Hello,

I just purchased a KWC S&W M4505 and I was wondering if I were to put that spring in my LPEG would it be alright as an upgrade?

It'd work and increase the power, but the gears will strip faster.

People have said the gearbox strips at 235 fps. I have the DE M4. So I am unsure of the power of this spring. It says at Airsoft Atlanta .12 g at 260 fps. I use .2 g.

Strips with a combination of a 9 volt battery, 235 fps, a Systema High Speed Motor, and a metal pinion.

So, would the spring in the M4505 strip my gears at 235 fps?

i had a gearbox hit 310 till one day it just striped bad when i went to shoot it and it just striped the gears and dident move the pistion.


shouldent look at FPS when upgradeing springs for a lpeg you should look at how meny lbs it takes to compress the spring vs. the stock spring. the companys that market the gun should know these specs if not theres a math formula you can use to find it out. Why cuz FPS wont give you any good numbers cuz there gonna be diff in every gun. say that 260fps spring might only hit 230fps in a lpeg due to a number of things. so it comes down to how meny lbs it takes to compress the spring.

you can use the spring but its risky you might have no probs or you might go to use it one day and just sprip the gun to heack. but you will decrease the life of the gear by allmost 1/2 if you do it.
