UN Company has word on a new 3000 round drum magazine for the AK series of rifles by Hero Arms. There isn't much info on it yet, just a picture.

It is autowinding. Heroarms makes good drum mags(I have only seen 2 though both for the g36)and they fed flawlessly.

nice. . and I'm sure the price will be reasonable. . not like the Japanese-made one for $300 sold at AEX (or at Boom Arms). That drum was based off the Chinese/Russian 75 rnd drum. . while the Hero Arms one is based on the Romanian 75 rnd drum. I'll say it will cost around $150 since it looks like it's thin guage steel.

I might look into one. Any US retailers have it yet? The main thing that worries me here is that my friend bought a Hero Arms hicap for his TM M14 and it feeds horribly. For the present, I'm perfectly happy with my Midcaps.
