Good Day Fellow Airsofters.
After a lengthy discussion, my spring club has decided to allow low-cost electics to play, and about half our team is going to buy a new gun. Since I am the airsoft guru of the bunch, I composed a list of possible guns that would be allowed, and that would still be competative against springers such as the A-15 and UTG MP5 and M87s.
Here are the guns I have chosen. Please keep in mind that some of our members have contrained budgets.
BE AUG - $35
Matrix AK-47 Black - $60
BE XM8 - $90
UTG MP5 - $100
UTG AK-47 - $130
I just need to know if all of these guns would be able to hang with each other in a woods skirmish. I have searched exhaustevely and have read every review I can get my hands on, but I want some direct opinions. Also, If any of these guns can be found for cheaper, please let me know.
BTW, we will only be using high grade .2gram bbs, no .12s.

www.wholesaleairsoft.com for the XM8 and the AK.
The Aug is a little under powered. Doesn't have the range of all the others, and has considerably less FPS. |

Personally, I'd stick with the BE and Matrix guns.
The UTGs would be a little too much against springers, IMO |

Thanks for the replies. If our team were to convert entirely to electrics, would the XM8 and Matrix AK be able to hold up against the UTGs?

| from MY experience... BE XM8 > UTG MP5... that was until mine started going crazy. the MP5 would seem more reliable but the XM8 is just a little better. |

I dont know about the Matrix AK, but the XM8 performance wise is better than the UTGs, but the UTGs have metal gearboxes so they would undoubtedly last longer. |

| Well some of that depends on the tatics you are using. But performance wise, It would be close, but The Matrix ak and xm8 would be able to hold up against utgs. But springers vs utgs? No lol theyd get owned for sure. |

Thanks for the info. We are going to have a meeting to decide what we want to do.
As far as AEGs vs. Springers, we would split the teams evenly so that every springer guy would be paired with at least one AEG guy.
If you have anymore info post it up, but what has been posted is great.
I will eliminate the BE AUG from our lineup and see if the springer guys are willing to go up against the UTGs.

i think it'd be best to get the UTG's over the XM8 since it has a v2 compatible metal gearbox. more upgrade potential...
however, the XM8's and the Matrix AK's are great guns. I'm thinking of getting a Matrix AK myself and sticking the soon-to-be released CYMA AK AEG gearbox in there. |

| About the looks...You decide that one, everyone has different taste. Dont worry about colors because you can always paint it like I did. (Refer to DDG's guide on like page 12 or 13 I think for pics) |

The UTG MP5 looks better then the XM8 and has better quality plastics, IMO.
The XM8 is solid though. |
