Great News for Arizona Airsoft! [ X17 at 1753 hours CST ] Source: The Command Post
Arizona has been a hard state for airsoft popularity, everyone here is a paintball freak. Fortunately, I was able to talk to the store manager of the new “The Command Post” paint ball store in Mesa, AZ. Turns out that he plans on his store, which is a paintball orientated store” on being one of, if not the biggest airsoft distributor in Arizona. Most stores out here carry just the pistols and minis, but he plans on going full-blown. I am currently trying to set up a deal with him where our web page will work in conjunction with him on getting airsoft a more popular status here in AZ. AZ provides great natural landscape for bigger engagements, both in our northern forest and our southern dry deserts. If interested in contributing to the subject, please email me, x17@3dretreat.com.

My First Gun! [ X17 at 2314 hours CST ] Source: X17
Well, today I finally received my first airsoft gun! It's a KCW GBB Desert Eagle. and I must say I am totally impressed! The gun is a lot heavier then I expected, it looks very realistic, and feels pretty real. I have handled many real guns in my job(s) and from my experience combined with the gun I was getting half inch to inch groupies on a fast rate of fire from 20 feet. That's pretty damn accurate for a toy! Anyway, after I get a little experience under my belt I will have a review up for this gun.
Now to more important notes, I am seriously gonna get some work done on this site!
The first thing I am going to do is get up the teams section. Then I will fix the "hot deals" section. We will be implanting a bunch of gun reviews, and so on. Expect all this done by Monday!
In case any of you are from the "Great White North" as I am, you may want to check the teaser ad for a new airsoft/paintball field being formed in Montpelier, VT.
Located on page B3 of Monday's Free Press, the add says that there will soon be a full-featured gaming field n the area.
Unfortunately, there was very little detail as to price and schedule, but the ad did mention that it would be operational in mid November.
Today Walleye posted a link to his team’s web site in the forum. His team's name is The Black Company, and you can view their site at: http://www.black-company.com/ This sparked a new idea in my mind; I am going to open a Team List Directory on the site. Here, teams will be able to submit their team with a description and a link to their web site. This should be up within the next few days. Also expect more new post on this page, now that I have finished my Trinity Effect web site, I have more time to worry about this page.

Changes @ the Retreat [ Snicker at 1233 hours CST ] Source: [unspecified]
You will be seeing a few changes among the Retreat over the next few months. First, we have implemented our new news script on the main 3d Retreat page. This news script integrates a comments option that ties into the 3d Retreat Forums. The rest of the network sites will be migrating to this script soon.
Also, expect the 3d Retreat to be relaunched shortly with a whole new approach to managing our gaming content. I am excited and I am sure you will enjoy the changes as well. The best is yet to come!
The site is coming along great so far; we just recently added a Hot Deals section, which will keep you posted on good Airsoft deals on the Internet. This section should be updated weekly to keep fresh content.
I have added a number of links to the link section, everything from popular forums to stores to order your Airsoft equipment through. Check them out!
We are currently looking a few good men and/or women to help out here. We need help in everything from gun reviewers to news reporters. Just contact us through our forum or email us with a description of what you would enjoy doing here at Airsoft Retreat.
Have suggestions on what this site should include? Tell us in our forums, or email us your suggestion. We are always looking at what the Airsoft community wants in a Airsoft web site, and we try to adjust as best as we can for them.

On October 16th 2000 America was reminded of the risk our military men and women take every day in keeping us safe from hazardous intentions. A terrorist attack was launched against the United States and the USS Cole. Killing 17 of our young service men and women and injuring 38 more. Upon reading this we here at 3D Retreat would like for you to take a brief moment in silence for the families and the entire nation at that, in this black time. Please pray for the injured and the victim’s families, we all will be. With the holidays coming up shortly its important to remember that we have thousands of troops all over the world keeping us safe from attacks like this, and we ask that you all remember this while in your nice comfortable surroundings these holidays.
