| Uhhh, yeah...this dosent sound like a great idea to me. The two words "School" And "airsoft" Should never be put in the same sentance unless that sentance is giving reasons why its a bad idea. Like the one I just typed out, but anyways what is this project actually on. I am curious to know, as is RockstarCQB from the looks...please, enlighten us. |

so you're going to write about the physics involved (hop-up) and the tactics?
if that's all, it should be alright. if anything else, you could just erase the part of hop-up, replace any "airsoft" with "paintball", and at least 2/3 of the school wouldn't care.
it'd probably be better to go and visit a store to get an interview or something. convince your parents to take a trip to hawaii and you can talk to the people at poweredge. two birds with one stone..... |

My Senior year or highschool I wrote an 8 page reseach page on airsoft for my English class. My teacher loved it and was impressed by the complexity of the hobby reguarding both mechanics off the field and tactical organization on the field. I tried to make my paper show the positive aspects of airsoft to show it's more than people shooting guns at eachother.

| could you send my a copy of that paper so i can get ideas on writing an article in the school newspaper? (dont worry about me plagiarizing it, we have a code against that, and i would get expelled, which is not good in your senior year) |

| This his disaster written all over it. Both with your teachers and your future with the ladies. I would tread very lightly. I would hate to see you on the news...some reporter might spin the story, "Evil student writes own Mein Kampf on weapons of mass destruction and threatens principal". On the other hand you have a chance at doing something very good. I wish you the best of luck. You too on the trip RLB! |

School and Airsoft. Don't bring up stuff like "you can get airsoft guns on the internet for only $$$$".

It should be fine if you can do it right. However, make sure your school rules and regulations won't get you, also try to be positive and inteligent, talk about phyisics and tactics like some people above said.
If you are sure you'll do it right, then go for it, but if you screw up, then you might tick a whole bunch of people off. |

I would put in a whole section on ways to make airsoft safer. I'd also include something along the lines of RedWolf's "The airsoft difference". They have a great pic of comparison between .177, 6mm, and .68, and a good explanation on why the other two are used for their applications, and why airsoft is still the safest.
I would nag your teacher for while to make sure that the policies are OK, since those thing look a helluva lot better if 'sponsored' by the teacher, than if somebody in admin reads it, and decides to come down on you.
I would just keep it as professional as possible, and if you interview any teammates or other players, make the interviews about why they chose airsoft, what kind of friends they've made, what other skills they've learned through it, and less about "What's your favorite gun" |
