Ok the UTG is an AEG and I ordered one and should at least get it tomorrow. The BE AUG which i also have is a great gun and is quite fun and sctually shoots pretty ok but stil ITS AN LPEG and you cant even compare that to an actuall AEG with upgradability and a V2 metal gearbox.

UTG mp5 hands down, it is "just better" than the AUG, the Aug is still perfect for entry level tho...

the BE AUG is a great Lpeg, reliable and accurate (for Lpeg)and accepts Marui hicaps (thats a big plus). The Utg MP5 is reportedly (untested as of yet) an AEG (higher FPS, V2 metal internals) so if your friends all have springers and Lpegs, they may not be thrilled about you playing against them with the AEG and you'll end up buying a spare lpeg later anyway just to be fair.... unless you're the bell-end of your friend group who likes being a poor sport with an over powered gun.

I bought a killer expensive (used-upgraded) Tokyo Marui Sig552 for my first gun and only skrimmed with it once because all my friends have Lpegs and spring shotguns ect and I just dominated too much to have any real fun... ended up replacing it with an src mp5 that I had a lot more fun with.

when you overpower everyone on the field by 200 FPS, it stops being about your relative skill levels and is only fun for you for a few kills, and is never fun for your friends.

Also another thing to consider is the AUG has been tested, proven and if you do your research on this forum, you pretty much know what you're going to get. The UTG is brand new and no one knows about QC or if the 260 fps is true ect.
The only thing anyone really knows 'for sure' about the UTG is that Star locaps fit in it.

Okay here is my question

To start skirmishing Would it be better to get a Be aug and a bunch of mags and gear?

Or a utg mp5 with a extra hi cap and a pair of goggles.

Remember that I will be playing against tm and better.

Lol well then you HAVE TO GO WITH THE UTG!!! It can be upgraded just like a TM so that is definitly the gun to go with. As far as the mags it comes with two plus a star low-cap so it will be way better then carrying a lot of gear. im getting mine tomorrow and ill post a review up for it as soon as im done messing with it! :)!!!!

Haha, omg, then in THAT case, in all mighty go for the UTG to buy your very important pair of safety certified shooting goggles!!!! Or, i'm assuming when you meant "gear" with your AUG, you also mean goggles also.

Go with UTG MP5 man, if this guns as good as they say, I will purchase the utg shotty too just for kicks. UTG ownage. -_-. I would of kept my be-aug but going againts TM's is a big challenge. I also have a buddy who wants to target practice and is willing to pay me good money for my aug, so thats money back in the bank. If money spending is wut your talking about. This route should save you money.

Mask Or Helmet/Goggles - Knee Pads - Some kind of Camo Jacket/Pants - $80
UTG mp5 $110 w/ Shipping.

an even cheaper way to get started:
UTG mp5 (shortyusa, airsoftGI) $110
decent goggles (jungletoy ect) $30
chinese ak chest rig (ebay, gunshows) $10-20
STAR 10 pack of mags (shortyusa )$50
used BDUS (ebay, cheaperthandirt) 10-20

ready to go for under 250 (give or take)!

eBay and gunshows are the way to go cheap, real cheap. I went retail stores JT,Hobby Town that sort of stuff, honestly its still so much cheaper than people I know and play with. My goal was to stay within the price of a brand name AEG and worked out just fine.

LoL the UTG is so great. i just finished running 3 hi-caps through it and damn is it good. yes this gun is very very good i can easily compare it to my TM but for the price that to me makes it way better. Saving $100 is really great and now hopefully more people can start playing airsoft thanks to this great gun.
