| no, there isn't. i don't see there being one for a while, either. there is, however, at least one springer version. you might look into that. |

| look, all M16 LPEG's pretty much suck. (well there are worse than others atleast) if your dad really wants the VN, go to www.shortyusa.com and buy the DPMS high grade M16-A1 spring rifle, the only difference is the clip. |

| I'd reccomend getting an HFC M16A1 springer or DPMS M16A1 springer. They're basically what he would have used and they'll actually shoot somewhat decently, even if he has to cock them. |

| I think there's some Chinese M16 VNs out there that are pretty cheap. Is youer dad going to use this gun, or just display it or whatever? You could prolly get away with a Chinese gun if he's not going to use it. |

| The only I have seen are the spring version and the TM.If you have the money get the TM M16VN or get the spring HFC/DPMS or if you are fortunate to get the Academy M16(with Colt's trades).Try looking in Modelmarts.com for the Academy M16 in the spring rifle section an the rifle kit section.I bought the M16w203 rifle kit and it came with all trades intact. |

| Well also makes a M16A1, though its labeled the M16A2. It has a triangular grip, but if its anything like my friends M16A2, the stock'll break, if you shoulder it too much. Jungletoy has it, for about 20 bucks or so, but it has a 30 round magazine, instead of the shorter 20 round magazine. Its not the best looking, but its cheap, and it'll last if its just to show around. |

There are no M16 LPEG's at all, which surprises me, slightly... For the spring ones with 30 round mags, You can chop the mag shorter, if you are good at doing those kinds of things. All you need is a hacksaw and some glue. Chop it, make the spring shorter inside, put the plate/a plate on the bottom, and glue it all together. |

Fool, M4s are based on the M16s, they are the carbine variants and anything based on the M16 reciever set is a part of the M16 family. M16 is the military nomenmclature and AR15 is the original name for the M16 series. FYI |
