Here is my Dilemma,

For the bike valve Adapter thing for an RPG (The kind where it has a pressurized chamber that releases the air via a sprinkler valve or ball valve to launch the projectile) what is it? Where can I get one? How would it fit in to the Chamber?

If you're talking about what I think you are, then you can just cut it out of an old bike inner tube, and seal it on the inside of whatever you're doing so you can pump it with a bike pump. They might have some fancy ones that can screw on, but I don't know because my parents don't let me mess around with pneumatics.

Yes, definitely. Valves cut out from old bike tires work best becasue of the extra flap of rubber you can leave on there. If you install this with the flap on the inside of the chamber with the valve poking out, this makes the best seal. Then, adding extra flaps of rubber from the tire on the outside works best. If want more info I will gladly post more, or you can email me at: kran.eth@gmail.com

Ok, I don't have a bike tire... that one is going to cost me lol. What did you use to secure the rubber to the PVC?

Go to a bike shop and see if they got any busted inner tubes. They'd probably give them to you for free, and it doesn't really matter if it's got holes in it.

Have you ever heard of JB Weld? That's what I used. It is a 2 part epoxy and is quite strong. Remember, several layers of tire is KEY. Oh and duct tape to hold it tight. What you do is cut SMALL holes in the center of your flaps of tire, you stretch the rubber flap so it can fit directly over the valve. Add lots of JBW to the under side, and stretch tight while someone else tapes it down so it stays stretched(makes for better seal). Do this properly about 3-4 times, takes about 30 min. and it will be perfectly sealed around the valve. However, if you are using a ball valve, this will be for nought, because ball valves seal perfectly for about the first 20 times you use it, but after that they will not seal, and you will lose close to 1 psi per second. It has gotten so bad on mine that you can hear it. Go with a solenoid valve and this shouldn't be a problem.

Go to a local hardware store and in the automotives section they have the caps that you can put the air into, and with a drill and some elbow grease you can get it into the PVC and i reccomend a strong sealant, PVC glue is a charm.

yeap thats exactly what i did... heres a pic of my bazooka, runs off of compressed air from a bike pump... And i use the meathod off milsim labs to fire waterbaloons filled with BB's. I get about 120 PSI out of it. Its really cool. And looks really nice too. I make them and sell them on ebay also.

And yea the best valve you can find, is these little things you can get that is like the adapter that you see on a bike tire,... but on the other end.. its threaded... so you can actually thread it into the PVC.

Heres a pic of my entire bazooka. I hope it inspires you. to make a better one than mine. And if you do... tell me what you did, cuz im always ttrying to make mine cooler looking and so on.
