hey guys, i know a few of you have messed around with a GB mp5 and turned it into somthing respectable. well i have a GB mp5 here i do nothing with so im looking to up the power and use it as a back up or somthing. can i put a TM mp5 gearbox in it? i heard the motor mount is to large. if not can i use metal gears, metal spring guide and maybe a stock mauri spring or a m90 or somthing? thanks for your time.

I think sgtwiltan put a well metal gearbox into one of his. had to do something with the trigger and the selector plate...

WELL R6/M4 metal gearboxes are like 40 bucks on affordable airsoft. It should be pretty much dropin, besides the selector.

hmm allright, it sounds good but theirs one problem, the selector plate and trigger are different. i dont soppose the GB mp5 selector plate would fit? i dont know i dont own an m16 varint anymore, i broke it due to crazy realistic play. do they sell the well mp5 gearbox anywhere?
