| Alright, i'm looking for a MOLLE vest. I've been looking at the Guarder M.O.D. II, but unfortuneatly my folks won't let me order outside of the U.S. So i need to find one in the U.S. but the only place i've found is AEX for 85$. I was also wondering if this was any good : http://www.evike.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=W&Product_Code=Vest_TM_MOD&Category_Code=Gears_Vest I emailed them and asked them what Brand it was, also that vest comes with 4 M4 double mag pouches and 2 Frag pouches (and yes i realized the Guarder is only 5$ more at AEX, but i just thought i'd ask anyway) I do not have a problem ordering MOLLE pouches from entrygear.com (SDS pouches), so if you know of any other place that has the Guarder MOD II in the U.S. please post (or any other usefull info for that matter) THANKS ALL! |

If you need a cheap MOLLE vest, look into CheaperThanDirt -- they've got a bunch around now, and if you're in replica-land anywat, SDS pouches aren't quite worth it -- but the matching ones so the colors are constant.
Still, the Mod2 FSBE is an awesome vest, so get it if you want, it should look quite good hooked up with SDS pouches.
What kit are you going to be using it for -- what future use are you thinking about (I can help you with pouches too) |

well, i'm going to be ordering a M15A4 rifle, and i would specifically like an Interceptor vest with 3-4 Double M4 mag pouches, 1 frag pouch, and 1 100 Rd. SAW pouch. Sometime later this year (after i save up enough again) i would like to order a CA M5 RIS, Vert. grip,AN/PEQ 2, and an ACOG or Aimpoint (not sure which yet). And that'll prolly be it, but the thing i'm most concered about is the quality of the webbing, secure velcro, and removable inserts.
EDIT: i want to use the SAW pouch as like an All purpose pouch to carry stuff like binoculars, tape, etc... |

Not sure what you need the SAW pouch for: definitely get the Guarder IBA, tack on some pouches (SDS or BHI seem best) -- probably 3 2x M4 mag pouches will work -- if you have a couple more, look into getting a buttstock mag pouch.
Frag pouch sounds good, just have it match brands as well. If you want a good dump pouch, the Poly dedicated ones are great, but you can also use a gas mask pouch.
The Guarder (I don't think the lame eVike one is Guarder, get that from AEX probly) is built extremely well by all accounts (Ask Wilco, or check at Arnie's) and will hold 3 mag pouches, fraggle pouch, gas mask, and even a dual pistol mag pouch quite well (If you can, pick up a sidearm once you've got optics for your M15 -- M9 style works, the HFC M190 is good for the buck, keep two mags on the vest).
Don't invest in the SAW pouch until you have a SAW: once you practice a bit with mag changes using your M15 -- With Marui locaps I can put out a remarkable total ROF with my guns, using G&P Midcaps would be scary.
Last thing I'll mention is the Action ACOG -- ACOG looks, AimPoint functionality -- otherwise, just get the G&P AP Replica off eHobbyAsia, or somewhere under $50.
As for color: Woodland is awesome, looks right for everything but USMC and Modern US Army: Get Tan for USMC, but you might have to wait a bit on ACU patterns for ACUPAT.
Pouches: 3 Dual M4 Mag Pouches, 1 M26 Frag Pouch, Perhaps 1 2x M9 Mag Pouch, and Either a dump pouch, gas mask pouch, or a utility pouch. I'd consider adding some cheap hydration capability if you play long games too.
Other than that, good luck. Seek other opinions if you can.
Reply Edit: Utility pouches are usually a lot cheaper, and the way SAW pouches are laid out (wide, rigid bottom) stuff rattles around a bit more when partially loaded. That said, it's still a plenty good idea. |

PowerEdge USA has the Guarder vest in Tan for 75.
Good buy. I barely have anything on my Interceptor. I have a holster, a double M4 pouch, a triple stack USMC M4 pouch, and a frag pouch. That's enough for me, I really don't need anything else. |
