| The objective
of this maneuver is to use deception on your side. The
attacking for (red) is set up in two main bulks. The left
flank consist of a huge massive unit. The right flank houses
rows of units parallel to each other. The opponent (blue)
does not see the lines of units behind the first, giving the
deception of that side being red's weakest and forcing him
to concentrate more on red's left flank. Normally there is
no need for reserves on red's side of the battle field,
every unit must be incorporated on the initial attack to be successful.
The R represents reserves. X represents front line units. B
Represents barriers, in this case a lake and a mountain
ridge.

Phase One: The attacking team
(red) will attack blue's right flank with his left
flank force. Already blue feels that the red left flank
force is the bulk of his army. As a reaction sensing danger
in that area of the battle field, blue will commit most if
not all of his reserves to assist that flank.

Phase Two: Once blue's
reserves are committed red will launch its main attack. Blue
only being able to observe red's front line on red's right
flank is oblivious that the strength and bulk of red's force
actually lies behind. This force will break through blue's
left flank, and then turn on the rest of the remaining
force. Victory for Red. |
