| would it be a good idea to get an electric blowback M1911 from http://www.icefire-enterprises.com/M1911e.html I read some reviews on ebb's and most of them put them down. i read the review of the G18c on this site. which was one choice i had in mind but after that i'd rather stick to my spring DE.50. so im wondering would it be better to get a spring pistol as a sidearm or a gas. my main primary is a M16 Style AEG. heres the webpage http://www.airsoft-shop.biz/item/B0007XX9F8 I would really appreciate your input on my situation |

| I would say, if you are in AEG battles, don't get ebb's for backups. AEPs or springers, maybe. If you have the money, I would go with a gas pistol. |

| Im just tryin to get gear right now i still havent found a decent place to play so im just trying to figure out whats what in the airsoft world. i own 2 springers and that M16 Style AEG now i need a better sidearm just in case, you skrimagers know how it is, your in a tight spot and your rifle is dry, your glad that you got that sidearm, thats what im tryin to avoid, being in that position without a sidearm |

AEG battles:
Primary = AEG
Backup = High powered spring pistol, AEP, or Gas pistol.
EBBs only shoot about 100-120 fps max.
Spring battles:
Primary = Spring rifle
Back-up = Any pistol(even EBB's, but they still won't have enough range for those long-ish shots) |

| If you got a gas gun, it would outpreform your m4, which i believe is a Double Eagle. It shoots around 150fps while a gas gun would be 280ish and up with a .2. |

| Oh. Your "AEG" is actually a LPEG. Sorry, I didn't click the link before. In that case, an EBB will be semi-OK for LPEG battles. |

Check out the "Retail Stores" section of this forum, there are plenty of sites there were you can find stuff cheaper. I got the "M16" (actually an M4) you bought for 35 bucks...
Also, note that the M4 you got is an LPEG. Low Powered/Priced Electric Gun. AEGs start at 100 bucks and go to 1,500 I think, and shoot much harder. |

Ok, Thanks, i'll look into som of tha things u told me about, i dont actually own that LPEG but i was gettin ready to buy it in tha next couple of days, im still kinda new to airsof (as you u can probably tell) so i dont really know alot about wast good and wat isnt that great, so i just wanna hear from other airsoft players, mainly im tryin to get a M$ or M16 Style gun, sayin i love the way they look and the only reason i was willin to spend $80 bucks on that gun was because it can with all of tha stuff i wanted for my AEG, so ima go check out som stuff of course i'll have another topic for u later. | I wouldn't order from Icefire. They are a horrible retailer. Th've tried to sell chinese guns as Cybergun and stuff like that. |

Here is a good site for LPEGs/EBB/springers:
http://www.wholesalecentral.com/airsoftzone/store.cfm
They have the DE M4, CYMA AK47, and even the BE Tech AUG for $26-30 each, although you have to order a minimum of $100. Their customer service is top notch. I'm getting all of these guns from them for $119:
