Sounds like a UPS problem. Unless they didn't ship it out for 5 days.

Moonman, your concerns are completely and totally understood! Believe me, being from a computer science background myself, all of this sounds so simple, doesn't it? How can a dynamic website with live inventory be that difficult, especially with all the computer and web technology we have now.
If you take a look at any of the larger websites, AEX, Wal-Mart, ebay, Amazon, etc, you'll notice that they all have completely dynamic websites. But believe it or not, even companies such as Wal-Mart and eBay still need static pages to display their products. For exmaple: http://buy.ebay.com/apple-ipod http://sporting-goods.ebay.com/Airsoft_Airsoft-Guns http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000C9ZJT http://www.bizrate.com/buy/products__att292835--292866-,cat_id--12050100.html
Airsplat, using static webpages to display images and information about your products is fine, but don't display stock status on these pages!
Your current site has so many pages about the product, all showing stock status, I'm sure in its current state, it is a nightmare to update manually.
It seems that you guys don't really care about the website that much, or that no one is really in charge of keeping it up to date. Here is an example, at the bottom of your main Airsplat.com page you have the following links-
Specials | Airsoft Information | Policy | About Us | Customer Feedback | Airsoft Blog
If you clicked on the Specials link during the entire month of January, you would have seen a link for the XM8 for $59.00. This gun was sold out early in the month (information received via email inquiry), for a while after stock was depleted, the link still took you to a crazy maze of pages displaying different stock status for this item, but later in the month the link for the XM8 simply took you to a blank frame! Why not just have the link on the Specials page deleted? How hard is this to do?
I work in IT and I know it takes time to implement an entirely new system, but in the meantime it is not that hard to simply update stock status daily on your website. At the end of each day as orders are processed, you obviously will know whether an item is in stock or not, why not simply update the pages for which stock is no longer available? If you had just one page for each item, this wouldn't be that difficult of a task. Then the top of your site could display a banner such as "Stock status is correct as of close of business (yesterday)."
I have to assume that currently you have plenty of business and don't really care if you tick someone off because they ordered an out of stock item. You have to realize that people with a bad experience with a website are highly motivated to tell all their friends not to order. It is very difficult to overcome a bad image, why not try to stem the tide now.
Stock status is a big deal in this business. Since all of this stuff comes via containers mostly from China, it can often be weeks before a new shipment is available.
In my opinion, there is simply no excuse for not doing a better job with your stock status.
I have made several orders from Jungle Toy (airsoft128.com) and to date I have had no problems with them, very impressed with their prices and level of service. How is is that they can keep their stock status up to date? |

| Dude airsplat you helped the others... why don't you guys send me my SRC SR4 manual? And I want you guys to apologize for not sending one and giving me an USED AND NON-WORKING gun. You guys just added insult to injury right there by sending it not working. |

| I am thinking of buying a UTG M324 either from Airsplat or Airsoftatlanta. I was going to buy it from Airsplat because prices are soo cheap there but after reading this, I feel convinced o.O |

I am having a problem with Airsplat right now! Heres my problem: For some reason i have been having trouble with Airsplat recently. I ordered a ton of stuff from them on SuperBowl night(not a very good idea in the first place) and i didn't recieve any verfication from email that my order was placed. So yesterday i ordered the stuff again thinking i had not processed the order from the other night. It turns out i did but i still had no verification by email..? So i ordered it again before knowing i processed the first order(big mistake) so know i have two orders of the same thing lol. But i still have not gotton a email to this day about either of the orders. I called them up a hour ago and no one picked up Either something fishy is going on at at airsplat or they still all have hangovers from the Super Bowl. Anybody explain to me what i or Airsplat is doing?? Because i am sick, i have 2 orders worth $450 of airsoft stuff, and i have a ton of Homework...this week is not starting off very good and airsplat is the Main reason! Airsplat.com can you cancel my order for me if i tell you the order number because i have been having so many problems ordering from you guys and i can't reach your store. And can you explain for the horrible service i am getting recently? |
